ABOUT STARLA FROM THE HEALTHY SHINE: Starla Garcia, M.Ed, RDN, LD, is a Registered Dietitian and U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials Qualifier who helps runners stop under fueling to reach their next personal record with realistic and sustainable nutrition. As a collegiate runner, she spent so much energy and time trying to figure out what and how much to eat in pursuit of becoming the best runner she could be. The pressure to perform and preoccupation with nutrition led her to develop an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise. Her experiences as a competitive athlete are what connect Starla to the endurance athletes she works with and propelled her sports nutrition business, The Healthy Shine, forward. Her story is what fuels, The Healthy Shine’s, mission to remove the limiting beliefs and unproductive habits that endurance athletes create around diets, exercise, body image, and worthiness so they can live their life to their fullest potential. SAFETY: Please do not attend this event if you are feeling unwell or have had a possible exposure to someone who might be sick. We take the safety of our staff and customers with the highest regard. If you cannot attend, don’t worry, we will have more events in the future!
