Man Shot In Neck, Shoulder Drives Away From The Scene: Police

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A 21-year-old man is in the hospital after he was shot in Stafford on Thursday morning. The victim, whose name was not released, is expected to recover from his injuries, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. On Thursday morning, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office responded to the parking lot of the England Run Apartment Complex on Heron Drive. There, authorities determined that multiple shots were fired from at least two different firearms, according to a post on the Stafford County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. Authorities also found a firearm at the scene. While investigating the area, police found that several cars in the parking lot were struck by stray bullets, authorities said. The victim was shot in the neck and shoulder, but drove himself to the 7-Eleven on Commerce Parkway. He was then taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said he is expected to recover. Investigators learned the victim had active warrants in Stafford and Fredericksburg for failing to appear in court. He was released on bond. Authorities said the shooting does not appear to be a random incident.
