Vehicle Stolen In Baltimore Recovered In Crystal City: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police recovered a vehicle early Monday morning that had been reported stolen in Baltimore, Maryland, according to the daily crime report. ACPD received an alert from a License Plate Reader around 12:32 a.m. on Monday. An officer identified the vehicle as it was entering the county northbound on Interstate 395. With the help of additional units, the officer initiated a traffic stop. At first, the occupants of the vehicle refused to comply with the request to stop the vehicle and they were observed reaching around and storing items throughout the vehicle. Eventually, they did stop at the intersection of S. Fern Street and 18th Street S. in the Crystal City. Following a preliminary investigation, police confirmed the vehicle was stolen and quantities of marijuana were recovered that were linked to the driver. In addition, police say the passenger was in possession of stolen credit cards and Schedule I/II and Schedule IV substances. Police charged Shonda Williams, 28, of Baltimore, with unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. They also charged Nicole Clifford, 39, with possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance, two counts of possession of a schedule IV Controlled substance, and two counts of credit card theft. Both Williams and Clifford are being held without bond.
