Dunedin Residents Asked To Complete Transportation Survey

DUNEDIN, FL — The city wants to know what residents and business owners think about Dunedin's transportation network by participating in a survey available through April 2. The city was awarded a Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Grant to develop a Citywide Multimodal Transportation Master Plan. The plan, which builds on the city's 2017 Visioning Reports, Citizens Survey and comprehensive plan, will identify opportunities to improve the city's network for all modes of transportation. Goal include: 1. Identifying potential safety and connectivity enhancements 2. Developing multimodal recommendations 3. Prioritizing a list of improvements to serve as a guide for investments, economic development, public safety and livability. The plan's proposed improvements and recommendations will be divided into four categories: pedestrian, bicycle, transit and micromobility, and roadways. The plan will focus on the following road corridors: Causeway BoulevardDouglas AvenueDowntown CRAPatricia AvenueState Road 580/Skinner Boulevard The plan will also examine these truck routes: Curlew Road/SR 586U.S. Alternate 19Main Street/Skinner Boulevard/SR 580Belcher Road On March 9, the city hosted a public meeting to kick off the survey (click here to view the PowerPoint presentation).
