"No this isn't a crazy train, but we do have an Ozzy in our Police Department now. Anyone get that? Anyone? You know you are singing it now. Say hello to Ozzy, our newest K9 and his handler Officer Nick Genung. This team was created last year as a result of K9 Officer Flanagan getting promoted to Sergeant. Lucky for us, we have a national trainer in our ranks, Officer Dan Lane, who worked for 10 weeks to train Officer Genung and Ozzy last summer. Our department uses K9 teams for a wide variety of calls such as searching for missing people, car searches, tracking fleeing suspects, building searches, article searches and much more. These teams work quite a bit in town and also regionally. One of these pics is of our current and former K9 Officers still working at the Police Department. It's an older photo so you don't see masks, but a great group of dedicated officers. Special thank you to Ms. Frentzel and John Lucey who graciously donated the funding for this team and has been a supporter of our program for quite some time. Rock on Ozzy!"
