Looking for Aspiring/Young Auto Mechanic for Apprenticeship/Internship

Mechanic overloaded works alone. Has 40 years experience and at least 10 jobs behind. More work than can handle. Looking for someone very local to Ann Arbor that wants to learn the trade. Pay is low it's basically a summer job you'll learn more than in school. Learn how to do every aspect of working on cars. You should already be very handy and skilled enough to do basic work. Basically an assistant you will learn so much you'll be good enough to run your own shop in a month or two. Working on cars can be exhausting and brutal so if you think this is easy work then it's not for you....it's very difficult back-breaking work! He works 7 days a week so you could come in a few times a week or you can come every day...To be determined. Work includes: Brakes, suspension, timing, motor swaps, trans swaps, moving cars. Cleaning. Etc. Not fun but you'll learn an insane amount quickly if you are trying to be a mechanic one day. Should be motivated, young (probably not a match for someone with bills/wife/kids as it doesn't pay a ton). So just out of high school or college age. Very intelligent when it comes to fixing. Should have a fair amount of knowledge on cars as this isn't training. You're going to get stuck on "which bolt is next" and "how does this bolt come off" etc. but if you have no idea what you are doing then not a good fit. *******I am posting on behalf of the mechanic and he is looking for help....Maybe nobody is interested or maybe it could work....figured would post to see....Please email if any interest****** Ideally within 10 minutes of 94/Zeeb Rd in Ann Arbor.
