MARYLAND — Spring break looks different this year. In some cases, Maryland students recently returned to school buildings, while many remain at home. Temperatures are expected to range from the 30s to 60s this week, meaning the forecast is a bit of a roller coaster, and rain looks to punctuate stretches of sunny days, according to the National Weather Service. With that in mind, our list includes activities that can be done indoors and out or virtually. Do you have any other ideas you want to share? Tell us in the comments! Outdoor Anita C. The positivity rate is 5.3 percent, officials reported Wednesday, while 1,030 patients in the state are hospitalized with the virus. The World Health Organization has advised waiting to ease restrictions until positivity is below 5 percent. However, when Gov. Larry Hogan relaxed capacity limits earlier this month, the positivity rate was below that threshold — it was 3.4 percent in Maryland on March 9. Because of the coronavirus, some may stay at home or away from crowded areas during spring break. When going out, know that the statewide face mask mandate calls for wearing face coverings inside establishments and outside when 6 feet of physical distancing is not possible, for those 5 years old and up. Baltimore City and Montgomery County also require people age 2 and up to wear face coverings in public spaces.
