Press release from the City of Bellaire: March 16, 2021 The Leak Adjustment Program is an attempt to provide relief to utility customers experiencing unusually high water bills due to the February 2021 winter storms. Adjustments will be considered and applied to customers' accounts on a case-by-case basis. For eligible customers, the City will apply an adjustment (reduction) to your utility account to reduce your volumetric charges for water consumption. We will compute the adjustment by replacing your actual February 2021 consumption with an average of your November 2020, December 2020, and January 2021 consumption. Eligible customers must provide proof of at least one or more of the following: Evidence of a plumbing repair permit issued by the City of Bellaire on or after February 15, 2021 Receipt dated February 15, 2021 or later for plumbing repairs Receipt dated February 15, 2021 or later for materials purchased to perform plumbing repairs Evidence of unusually high water consumption (May be verified by the City) For more information or to download an application, please click here: https://bellairetx.gov/leak This press release was produced by the City of Bellaire.
