Description
AUSTIN, TX — Regular curbside trash and recycling pickup resumed as usual on Monday for customers across Austin.
After a week with limited to no service due to intense winter storms that left roads impassible, the City of Austin said it will collect extra bags of household trash during the week of Feb. 22.
The city said it will also conduct scheduled large brush collections missed during the prior week starting on Monday. Extra composting and recycling is always collected at no extra charge, according to the city.
The city took to social media to remind residents to set carts out by 6:30 a.m. on regular collection days. Residents can find their scheduled collection days by entering their address on the city's collection schedule website.
The city encouraged residents to download the Austin Recycles App for Apple or Android and sign up for alerts and reminders.
