AUSTIN, TX — Austin police are seeking information on suspects who may be involved in a shots fire incident Friday in North Austin. Senior officer Demitri Hobbs, a spokesperson for Austin Police, told reporters Friday afternoon that officials received a call at 1:24 p.m. Friday for a possible active shooter in the 10600 block of North Lamar Boulevard at Marketplace Austin. The suspects had already left the scene, Hobbs said. Hobbs said shots were fired at the scene. There were no injuries. At 3:30 p.m., detectives were at the scene to discover what may have happened and who was involved. At this time, there are no details on the suspects or the vehicles they may have left in. Hobbs said detectives are encouraging the community who may have information on the incident to contact police. The investigation is ongoing.
