AUSTIN, TX — A man is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash near Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, police said. Austin police said officers received a call at 9:02 p.m. Sunday for a motorcyclist crashing into a fence in the 9500 block of Circuit of the Americas Blvd. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. His identity has yet to be released. Authorities said anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call APD's Vehicular Homicide Unit Detectives at (512) 974-6873, utilize the Crime Stoppers tip line at 512-472-8477 (TIPS), or the Crime Stoppers app. Individuals may remain anonymous. Austin police said this incident marks the 21st fatal traffic crash of 2021, resulting in 23 fatalities for the year. On the date of this crash in 2020, there were 21 fatal crashes resulting in 22 fatalities.
