AUSTIN, TX — Austin police are seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects involved in a North Austin shooting that put four people in the hospital on March 12. Officers said two men wearing a black hoodie, black pants and carrying firearms fired multiple rounds at patrons at Barbershop Midtown in the 7400 block of Cameron Road around 8:01 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived to the scene, they discovered the men had approached the northeast side of the building and fired their weapons at patrons standing on the porch. Three men were struck before the two suspects retreated behind the building to fire at customers who were attempting to flee out the back door, authorities said. One man was shot during the second volley of gunfire. Investigators want to speak with a person who is described as a man in his late 20's; thick-built with short hair, beard and mustache; was last seen wearing a tank top, sweat pants and tennis shoes; and was driving the light-colored four-door sedan. Authorities said three people were treated and released and another person remains in the hospital in critical condition. The motive for the attack remains unknown. Police said the two men were last seen driving away from the scene driving a dark-colored four-door sedan (possibly a Hyundai car) and a light-colored four-door sedan (possibly a Honda Accord car) between the model year 2010 and 2015. Investigators also want to speak with a person of interest in this incident. He is described as a man in his late 20's; thick-built with short hair, beard and mustache; was last seen wearing a tank top, sweat pants and tennis shoes; and was driving the light-colored four-door sedan.
