AUSTIN, TX — A man who died in a car crash in Northeast Austin has been identified, officials said. Austin police announced Monday Armando Garcia-Sanchez died Wednesday after his car crashed with a semi-truck in the 9000 block of Tuscany Way. Officials said Garcia-Sanchez was driving a brown, 2013 Honda Pilot when his car collided with an orange, 2009 Volvo semi-truck. Garcia-Sanchez died at the scene. Authorities said the truck driver was not harmed. Police said investigators are seeking answers as to what led to the cause of the fatal crash. On the date of this crash in 2020, there were 21 fatal crashes resulting in 22 fatalities.
