Austin PD Identify Man Who Died In Bradley Drive Shooting

AUSTIN, TX — A man who was shot and killed in northeast Austin over the weekend has been identified, officials said. Austin police announced Wednesday 20-year-old Thang Tin Uk died Saturday after officers found him with gunshot wounds in a black car in the 6600 block of Bradley Drive. Officers said they received a 9-1-1 call around 4:55 p.m. of shots fired in the northeast Austin neighborhood. When police arrived, they found Uk with apparent gunshot wounds in the driver's seat of a crashed black 2013 Audi car. Uk was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas for treatment. Officials said Uk died around 4 p.m. Saturday. Authorities said witnesses reported hearing multiple gun shots before seeing a man flee from the Audi. The Travis County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death, officials said. Police believe the motive for this shooting appears to be drug related. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
