Grande Communications Donates $2500 To Central Texas Food Bank

AUSTIN, TX — A Texas-based broadband communication company has donated $2,500 to Central Texas Food Bank to support ongoing recovery efforts following February's winter storm. Grande Communications announced Wednesday it donated $20,000 to eight nonprofit food bank organizations across the state. Each food pantry received a donation in the amount of $2,500. (Photo courtesy of Grande Communications) Food banks that received a donation were Central Texas Food Bank in Austin, Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Corpus Christi, Little Elm Area Food Bank in Dallas, West Texas Food Bank in Midland/Odessa, San Antonio Food Bank in San Antonio, Hays County Food Bank in San Marcos and the Shepherd's Heart Food Pantry in Waco/Temple. The donation will cover about 10,000 meals at the Central Texas Food Bank. "Food pantries have worked non stop to feed their communities this year," the company said. "Grande Communications recognizes that continued donations are vital to providing sustained support and encourages everyone that is able to, to donate to these charity organizations that go above and beyond for their Texas communities." In late February, former Austin resident Sandra Bullock donated $250,000 to the Central Texas Food Bank on behalf of the women starring in the 2018 action-comedy film "Ocean's 8."
