Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South (JA Memphis) is looking for a Community Engagement Manager. The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing strategies that mobilize people to give, advocate and volunteer. This is a salaried position with a benefits package that includes Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, and vision, 401K. Role Title: Community Engagement Manager Manager: Director, Innovation and Community Engagement Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Community Engagement Manages strategies for engagement of people in opportunities to support JA Memphis’ community goals.Design, implement, and evaluate innovative individual and corporate engagement services and experiences for year-round strategic engagementDesign and manage community engagement services, experiences and initiatives.Help position JA programs among current partner audiences as well as new audiences.Manage community engagement-related technology processes to support organizational customer relationship culture, including customer relationship management (CRM) Volunteer Management Recruit new volunteers through a variety of methods including large/small group presentations, outreach to possible corporate partners, parent groups, etc.Organize and implement volunteer training and orientation.Maintain regular positive communication with volunteer groups and individuals to cultivate ongoing relationships.Keep accurate and organized volunteer records in web-based relationship management program (BCRM) and SalesforceProvide support for JA Building Blocks, JA Launch Lessons, JA Inspire, and other place-based programs as needed.Work with the Director of Innovation and Community Engagement and todevelop and implement recognition programs that are of interest and value to participants, including events, scholarships, awards, and gifts. Education, Experience, & Skills: BA/BS or equivalentAbility and desire to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.Must be organized, detail-oriented and deadline-drivenWrites creatively, clearly, compellingly and with an attention to detailWorks well in a team environment.Proficient in customer service including problem solving, decision-making, troubleshooting and communication skillsFriendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.Position requires a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy, and sensitivity to highly confidential information.Strong computer skills needed, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with complex databases.
