From the Town of Summerville: March 12, 2021 Summerville Town Council has extended a temporary ordinance with amendments requiring the public to wear face coverings in certain circumstances in the town of Summerville through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021. The vote was made at a regularly scheduled monthly council meeting on Thursday, March 11, in the best interest of public health and out of an abundance of caution in helping to reduce risk of exposure to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). All owners or employers of restaurants, retail stores, salons, barber shops, grocery stores, pharmacies and Town buildings and indoor facilities in the Town must require their employees to wear a face covering at all times while having face to face interaction with the public or other employees. While the general public is not required to wear mask pursuant to this Ordinance, every business entity has the right to require face mask before entry. All public meetings have the ability to be held electronically. The public can watch meetings by clicking the 'live meetings' link on the homepage of the Town's website.
