This year we celebrate the 39th Anniversary of the Flickers Arts Collaborative and the Academy Awards at a special Drive-In Presentation. This year we celebrate the 39th Anniversary of the Flickers Arts Collaborative. Our elegant evening is once again chaired by Steven Feinberg, Executive Director of the RI Film and Television Office with RIIFF Advisory Board President, Michael Drywa, Esq. The elegant event will feature live coverage by our friends at ABC6, a Red Carpet Entrance and Reception with Paparazzi, Media interviews, Photo Opportunities, Producer’s Circle Awards, hors d'oeuvres, Imported wines and beers, live music, a sit-down dinner. Gourmet desserts that will please and titillate, an amazing silent auction that will appeal to all lovers of film, a raffle of VIP Passes to RIIFF 2020, swag bags that will definitely surprise and, of course, the screening of the biggest awards ceremony of the year! The 2020 Producer’s Circle, George Melies Sci-Fi/Fantasy and the Dreammaker Award Honorees: Presented to members of the community who have actively worked to support and promote the mission of the Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival. These Friends of the Festival have had a significant impact on the growth, evolution and quality of what has become RIIFF as well as the arts and humanities locally, nationally and internationally. • David M. Méliès films include A Trip to the Moon (1902) and The Impossible Voyage (1904), which both are considered among the most important early fantasy and science fiction films, thus establishing the importance of the genre. • Robert M Schulbaum, writer/director, "The Wrong Todd" RI FILM OFFICE DREAMMAKER AWARD • Lawrence J. The elegant catered dinner is provided by the Biltmore Hotel and Decadent Catering; Stage and Set Design by Quality Rental; Media Design by Timothy Haggerty; Audio & Video Services by Event Audio Visual, LLC, Salem NH; Desserts by Carina e Dolce Specialty Cakes & Cookies, Sin Bakery, DeLuise Bakery, Pastiche Fine Desserts, The Original Italian Bakery, PVD Donuts, and Seven Stars Bakery.
