Description
PLYMOUTH, MN — A Plymouth man was sentenced Tuesday to 151 months, or over 12 years, in prison after he was convicted of distributing child pornography. Alexzander M. Carneal, 29, pleaded guilty on Nov. 30.
Carneal used GigaTribe, an online file sharing tool, to acquire and trade sexually explicit content involving minors.
Between May and June 2019, Carneal exchanged messages with an undercover federal agent, according to investigators. He told the agent he had a large collection of child pornography and made it available for distribution, police said.
Carneal was also given 20 years of supervised release after his prison time.
The investigation team included agents from FBI Minneapolis, FBI New York, and the Plymouth Police Department.
