WARRINGTON, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department has become one of 131 police agencies accredited in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Warrington police went before the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission in Harrisburg on March 18 and were unanimously approved to become an accredited agency. "Achieving accreditation is a testimony to the hard work of the entire department over the last 15+ months. We made a commitment to excellence in law enforcement," Chief Daniel Friel said. The department has been operating out of a new headquarters on Easton Road since November after sharing real estate with the township for a number of years. The new facility features an in-house training center, a "hoteling" office for collaboration with outside agencies and a high-tech prisoner processing center.
