Description

The bubble is an isolation zone created to protect student-athletes from the pandemic while allowing them to play basketball this season. Why: In the midst of a worldwide pandemic the safety of everyone cannot be overstated. We have seen locally gyms reopening that have allowed children to play rt but have not been socially responsible while doing so. A coach will impact more lives in one season than the average person will in a lifetime. Where: For The Kingdom (aka FTK) is a beautiful 100 acres camp and camp, conference, & retreat center located in Memphis, TN 38128. For 21 years FTK has specialized in providing an escape in the city for the city through day and overnight camps. FTK is an adventurous place filled with laughter, bonding, and unity. For The Kingdom is a uniquely qualified infrastructure that makes the bubble concept viable. Not only is the place big enough to contain all essential team and league personnel, with security, it can be isolated from the surrounding area relatively easily. Food: There will be 3 meals and 2 snacks available each day for all student athletes and personnel. All meals are prepared on site in FTK’s restaurant by some of the best chef’s in the midsouth. Requirements: All players, coaches and staff must be tested for the COVID-19 virus. Once that test comes back negative they will be allowed on campus to be a part of the bubble. Once on campus there will be no leaving the bubble until the event is over and no one from the outside is permitted on campus or in the gym for games / practices.
