EAGAN, MN— Current Minnesota Governor Tim Walz got his COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday at the Vikings' Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, ABC 6 News reported.
At his side, also getting a vaccine, was former governor Tim Pawlenty, reports said.
Both men received the single-shot Johnson&Johnson vaccine.
Tuesday marked the first day that all Minnesotans over the age of 16 were eligible for the vaccine.
Following the news of vaccine eligibility expansion, Walz announced that Minnesota would continue its partnership with the Minnesota Vikings, and use the Performance Center for a second mass-vaccination event.
