Previously, it was documented in the Patch that the 24 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests by Trustee Zach Mottl have cost the taxpayers of Burr Ridge $60,130. https://patch.com/illinois/burrridge/burr-ridge-trustee-says-rival-wastes-village-money If you recall, Mr. Mottl's 24 FOIA requests over a 15 month period centered on Mayor Grasso, the Choctaw Indians, Teamsters Local 731, a retired Police Chief, and the Village of Matteson. They were not about Village business, as Mr. Mottl claimed. At the February 8, 2021 Trustee Al Paveza asked Trustee Mottl what he has found as a result of his 24 FOIA requests. Mr. Mottl answered that there would be things forthcoming. We, the residents of Burr Ridge, have yet to see anything. The meeting minutes from the March 8 meeting have yet to be approved. I ask the question near the end of the video) So for all of Mr. Mottl's grandstanding, his threats, his name-calling, his disparaging comments about the Burr Ridge Police, his abuse of Staff, his abuse of residents, his ethnic slurs directed at fellow Trustees and the Mayor, his obscene sexual comments directed at a Village resident, and his denigrating comments toward Burr Ridge business owners, Mr. Mottl has yet to produce one shred of evidence to back up his claims of corruption in the Village. He certainly has been given multiple opportunities to produce what he has found. It has been 18 months since he began his vengeful FOIA quest against Mayor Grasso. Mr. Mottl has produced nothing. Obviously, he has found NOTHING because there is NOTHING to find! Residents of Burr Ridge, he has wasted $60,130 of YOUR tax dollars on a personal vendetta against Mayor Grasso and has nothing to show for it. How sad for the residents of Burr Ridge.
