Press release from the University of Dayton:
March 30, 2021
U.S. News & World Report ranked nine University of Dayton schools and programs among the top in the nation in its latest guide on "The Best Graduate Schools."
The 2022 edition, released March 30, 2021, features the University's schools of law, education and health sciences, and engineering, plus the public affairs program and the electrical, materials, aerospace, mechanical and bioengineering engineering programs.
Notably, the School of Engineering graduate program tied for 45th overall, ranking No. 1 among Catholic colleges and universities, second among Ohio colleges and universities, and ahead of Ivy League schools Brown University and Dartmouth College.
The School of Law jumped 22 spots (to a tie for 119th place), tied for this year's largest leap among U.S. law schools, based on an examination of the rankings.
The rankings — a resource widely used by prospective students considering graduate school — are based on "two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research and students," according to U.S. News.
Full information on the rankings is available on the U.S. News website.
