Press release from the Altadena Public Library: March 31, 2021 The Altadena Library District is pleased to shift into a phased reopening, following public health guidelines allowing libraries to open with limited capacity. The Bob Lucas Memorial Library and the Community Room at the Main Library will be open for limited hours to help meet needs for computer access and bring back the joy of browsing! While the main floor at the Main Library on Mariposa Street will still be closed to the public, the Community Room has been laid out to allow for socially distanced services. As of the week of April 5, 2021, the following service hours are in effect: Main Library 600 E. Mariposa Street Altadena, California 91001 Community Room Hours (Limited browsing, computer use, holds pickup, printing) Tuesday – Saturday: 12:00pm – 5:00pm Sunday & Monday: Closed Extensive Computer Assistance Hour Friday: 10:00 – 11:00am Bob Lucas Memorial Library 2659 Lincoln Avenue Altadena, California 91001 Bob Lucas Branch Hours (Browsing, computer use, holds pickup, printing, copying, faxing, scanning) Monday – Friday: 2:00 – 5:00pm Weekends: Closed Outdoor Seating & Power Access Monday – Friday: 10:00am – 5:00pm Curbside pickup at the Main Library is on-demand only between the hours of 12:00pm – 5:00pm. Call (626) 798-0833 to specially request a curbside appointment. Pickup will take place at the foot of the stairs by the parking lot entrance. Safety Protocols for Entry into the Altadena Libraries By entering the library buildings, patrons agree to: Wear a face covering at all times. Practice social distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet of space from others. Follow all staff direction and instruction during your entire visit. Not enter if you are feeling ill, experiencing any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms, or have been exposed to a known case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days Not hold the Altadena Library District responsible for any exposure or future illness that could potentially occur.
