Embroidery Machine Operator

This is a full time position requiring work experience in embroidery. Please submit reference with work history. As an Embroidery Operator, this role is responsible for operating a computerized Embroidery machine to process customer requested specialty orders including uniforms, special event apparel, and head wear. Key Responsibilities: Reviews works orders, observes specifications and any special notes and prepares their work area. Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest of quality specifications handles the proper placement of design, hooping and thread colors. Retrieve designs from the computer and enter it into the embroidery machine. Enter thread colors into the machine, double check garment, count and style are accurate. Load and unload the machine with new/old hooped items. Responsible for the cleanliness of their work area during production and at each shift end. Floors need to be swept, all trash should be picked up and empty boxes need to be properly disposed of. Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or General education degree (GED) Ability to read English instructions. Learn tasks quickly, be detailed oriented, accuracy driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance. Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment. Spanish speaking a plus.
