We work hard, and we certainly have a lot of fun! We have an immediate opening for a Landscaper/Laborer at our Northampton headquarters. Hours will typically be Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm, with flexibility when reasonable. Additional hours will be required, and compliantly compensated for, in applicable inclement weather. Performance Responsibilities: -Perform duties that may include operation of all grounds maintenance hand and power equipment including heavy equipment, with an emphasis on landscape maintenance, plant installation, and construction. -Mow lawn areas, apply fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides and herbicides, spread loam, rake, seed, edge, weed, mulch planting beds, plant, prune, and select landscape plants. -In applicable weather conditions, plow and shovel snow, and spread ice melting products. -Clean assigned areas, and maintain equipment. -Work cooperatively, positively, independently, and as part of a team. -Strong attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety, security and compliance regulations. -Must practice good time management. -Communicate with Manager effectively and regularly. -Compliance with all building security and confidentiality policies and procedures. What you'll need: -Working knowledge and experience with the use of landscape maintenance equipment, fertilization equipment, calibration of application equipment. Technical/working knowledge of irrigation maintenance and repair preferred. A Massachusetts Hoisting License preferred. -Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation required. Physically able to perform strenuous manual labor in all weather conditions, including carrying and transporting heavy loads up to 50lbs., and up to 80lbs with help. -Ability to use all cleaning agents and materials safely and effectively. -Dependent body mobility to fulfill all job responsibilities. -Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment. -Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone, and in various forms of written communication. -Will be required to work outside and around multiple multiple buildings on our property.
