We sadly have to rehome our Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. Steele is 5 years old and has been a great dog for us, however after having two kids he has been having some behavior issues. He has started resource guarding his toys, treats etc. He is great with other dogs on neutral territory (dog parks, on walks) but does become territorial over his food and toys when other dogs come near him. We will only rehome to someone that has no other dogs or children. No exceptions. $400 rehoming fee. No negotiations. We live on acreage so he is used to having space to roam but would be ok with daily walks and exercise and lots of toys to keep him busy. Steele will be a great dog for someone that does not have kids/dogs and can take the time to correct his resource guarding. Please research resource guarding for more information.
