Main Purpose of Role The successful candidate for the position of Extrusion Operator shall be fully capable of performing all job functions listed and possess all the qualifications itemized. Job Tasks • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing setup and operation procedures to conform to standard operating procedures. • Manufacture product to conform to specification. • Complete documentation in accordance to standard operating procedures. • Assist as assigned to maintain production outputs and processes. This includes filling positions as needed to maintain continuous operations through breaks and lunches. • Assist supervision staff by identifying changes in either appearance or quality that achieves high quality goals. • Maintain supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level on hand. Notify supervision or purchasing staff as needed to avoid stock-outs. • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Contributes to team efforts for process and product improvement. Experience/Skills • High School Diploma or GED required. • At least 5 years’ experience in a process-oriented production environment. • Proven work record to include the ability to perform all the following: • Best manufacturing and production practices • Proven ability to communicate observations and thoughts to co-workers and supervisory staff. • Ability to interface with all levels within the organization. • Good written and oral skills.
