when Reagan and Bush were President? Conservatives certainly didn't call MUCH HIGHER numbers of southern border crossings a "national security crisis' at the time or at any time later. Only now is is quite suddenly a "national security crisis" while numbers are half to a third of what they were then. The numbers plummeted under Obama and then spiked back up under Trump.
