Monona is Hiring! Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated Shop Laborer / Delivery Driver dedicated to quality and service to join our Team! This position is a permanent shop position and is not intended for someone looking for an apprenticeship opportunity. Job Summary As a Shop Laborer/Delivery Driver, you support the tool and material needs of the field. You perform activities involved in the pulling, loading, unloading, delivery, receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining of tools, materials, and other supplies in the shop warehouse. You will spend about 50% of your time in the warehouse tool crib and the other 50% with deliveries and other duties as assigned. You are responsible for managing the checkout and return of tools to and from employees and jobsites and tool tracking and data entry of tool information into the tool tracking system. Job Duties - Manage check-in and check-out of tools to and from employees and jobsites - Manage tool inventory and tracking to include entry and removal of tool information into/from the tool tracking system - Loading, unloading, operating, and hauling of skidsteers, mini excavators, and scissors lifts - Operating a forklift - Delivery and pick-up of tools and materials from jobsites - Loading and unloading of trucks - Checking in deliveries - Pulling and restocking tools and materials - Assisting with annual inventory count - Performing small tool repair and maintenance - Building and yard maintenance, including snow removal - Performing other general shop, yard, and jobsite miscellaneous duties as required Job Experience - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shop/warehouse setting; experience in the construction industry preferred - Familiarity with plumbing and fire protection material preferred - Knowledge of hand and power tools - Previous experience with and ability to operate a forklift, skidsteer, mini excavator, and scissors lift Job Requirements - Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record - Class A CDL preferred - Must be able to work the hours of 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; ability to be flexible to come in early as needed for snow removal or other needs - Must be able to perform physical labor To Apply Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
