Large Memory care/Assisted living facility in Middleton is looking for a Bus driver/Maintenance Assistant. First responsibility is to transport our elderly residents safely to their medical appointments and back, ordering supplies and stocking floors. Additional duties include but are not limited to helping move furniture and setting up rooms, trash removal, very minor landscape duties etc. A mechanically inclined person would assist in facilities repairs and could result in a step up to maintenance tech if the opportunity presents itself. This is a 32 hr/week position but a good worker could get more, we have enough work that needs to be done for more hours. The person chosen will report directly to and be under the supervision of the Maintenance Director. Job requirements are: Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving history, have the understanding that our elderly residents can be a bit challenging at times and have the compassion to deal with it. The ability to use basic hand tools and the desire to learn basic and advanced facilities maintenance a big plus. Dependable transportation or the ability to be on time daily, complete assigned tasks and follow policies and procedures. Be able to disassemble furniture, move it and reassemble. Have a somewhat flexible schedule. Hours are Monday-Friday 9am till ? (variable) but a weekend bus trip or other situation could pop up though this is rare.
