Universal Engineering Sciences has an opening for a Driller's Assistant. Branch walk-in applicants welcome attn Rick. (5561 Florida Mining Blvd S. Jacksonville, FL 32257) Job Responsibilities: The driller's assistant works on a team in varied weather and environmental conditions to assist the drill crew chief in the operation of drilling equipment, which includes labor intensive work. They will assist in drilling holes in the soil to determine soil type and characteristics. This position may include some travel within the state of Florida and driving of the drill rig (with air brakes) to and from drilling sites. Entry Level Pay is $15 per hour plus full benefits. Pay may be higher with experience or CDL. Required Qualifications: • Valid FL Driver's License • Physical Capabilities Required Include: Ability to lift 60+ pounds above the head, drive for 2+ hours, bend over and torque back, stand for long periods of time, and pass annual drug tests • Experience working outdoors • Must be at least 18 years old for entry onto job sites • Ability to read and write Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in geotechnical drilling • Class A or B CDL EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Universal Engineering Sciences is a Drug-Free Workplace.
