2yr old female German Shepherd - up to date on shots but not yet spayed. Adopted her recently and our other dog hates her and has gone on hunger strike since she has been here. She is a great dog! she is crate trained, rides well in the car, and knows a bunch of basic obedience commands (sit, down, leave it, stay, paw). She does need some work on a leash as she gets excited when going outside and will pull. She is also really hungry as the people we got her from were not feeding her enough. She needs to put on about 10lbs to be at her ideal weight. Because of this she will nose at counters and the garbage but is good at leaving them alone if you tell her to. I would not leave a plate of food unattended around her though. She loves other dogs and would really like having another young dog to play with. She has a lot of energy so she will need a family that can provide her the exercise she needs. She would make an excellent walking/hiking/adventure buddy. She loves people! she would probably do best with older kids because I can see her accidentally knocking smaller kids over. She wouldn't mean to - she just doesn't always know where her body begins and ends. She is NOT cat (or squirrel) safe - she would be fine living with small caged animals (birds, rats, ect) that she can't interact with but she will go after cats.
