Johnstone Supply is hiring for the Counter Sales Representative position. This is a 40hr/wk full time job. Eligible for benefits, 401k, quarterly/annual bonuses after 90 days. Room for advancement for right candidate. Sales Counter Duties 1. Greet each customer when they either call or walk-in to the counter. 2. Provide product recommendations and/or price quotes. 3. Pull material for orders. Assist with loading material into customer vehicle when requested. 4. Replenish and restock counter shelves to ensure adequate inventory levels per instruction from counter manager. 5. Work with counter manager to execute sales promotions and counter activities. 6. Ensures safety by maintaining cleanliness of warehouse. Ensures that aisles are free of potential hazards. Reports unsafe conditions to management. 7. Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures. Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors. 8. Always wears protective equipment according to company policies and procedures. Accesses Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as needed and when appropriate. 9. Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications. Alternative Duties 1. Assist with customer service and sales, including answering phones, greeting customers, and servicing the sales counter. 2. Assist in annual physical count of full warehouse inventory. 3. Assist with special duties and assignments as needed to support the efficient functioning of the store. General Results and Responsibilities 1. The employee is also frequently required to lift more than 100 pounds with mechanical assistance or the assistance of coworkers. Work Environment: Most work is performed in a warehouse environment without air conditioning, which may include hot and cold temperatures, dust, dirt, and noise.
