We currently have an opportunity available for a Transportation Coordinator in Hamilton, OH. Position Overview: Work with Shaw drivers to coordinate outbound loads, and to work with carriers to arrange deliveries of inbound loads. Essential Functions: Access and perform functions in Omnitracs to route trucks for customer delivery. Identify areas of opportunity through use of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (eg OTIF, Scanning, #/Route, Route adherence). Adjust route to accommodate scheduled random DOT drug tests and physicals when directed. Prepare, file, and sort driver paperwork for next day deliveries. Schedule tractor and trailer maintenance. Support drivers. Contact customers to confirm next day, large, and/or special deliveries. Assist with processing of special order shipments. Communicate between sales representative, customer service, and customers to get orders processes. Follow up on all hot rush orders. Assign trailers to dock doors. Receive and process all Return Authorizations and arrange for pick-up. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by Routing Optimization Manager and/or local Facility Manager.
