Female cattle dog mix named Ruby for rehoming. She is 5 years old and a really sweet dog, but we just can't give her what she needs which is a yard or someone who is home all the time. She is semi house-trained and will have accidents if you don't take her out quick enough. She is high anxiety and might even need medication. She is a little standoffish at first, but she will warm up to you. She is great with toddlers. She's relatively quiet and only barks when she's excited or you're about to leave. She knows how to sit, and she can catch on to different tricks really quickly. She is iffy on being touched on her back, but will come up to you for head and neck pats and scratches. We rescued her from the Sarasota Humane Society and she came from a hoarding situation in Louisiana before then. She is dog friendly and gets along great with a lot of dogs, just needs slow introduction to dogs that are smaller than her. She really is a great dog, she just needs someone who has more time for her.
