PUUWAI DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION is seeking a self-motivated hard working Driver/Laborer. POSITION SUMMARY Driver/Laborer will assist in a variety of construction related tasks, including picking up and delivering materials to job sites, cleaning and preparing a job site, and using a variety of tools. Will set up and take down ladders, scaffolding and other temporary structures. Must be a motivated self-starter, many of these tasks will be done solo. This position is full time hourly and takes place in South Shore Kauai/Poipu. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks • Drive trucks carrying materials and equipment to sites • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Must be able to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment • Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with the company's protocols • Able to work alone effectively • Prepare sites to ensure maximum optimization of construction work procedures • Clean debris, trash and hazardous materials from construction sites • Dig trenches • Erect temporary structures and scaffolding • Perform site maintenance tasks such as trimming trees and clearing shrubs EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • Driver's license with clean record, CDL not required. • Ability to adhere to established safety procedures. • Must have excellent time management skills WORK SCHEDULE • Weekdays 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
