JOB SUMMARY Responsible for operating heavy equipment of various sizes and weights such as bulldozers and excavators for the purpose of clearing and reclaiming land. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Daily activities Ensure all work is performed within company, state, and federal regulations, standards, statutes, policies, and procedures. Safely and efficiently operates various pieces of mobile heavy equipment including bulldozers and tracked excavators. Safely drive and maneuvers equipment into position for digging, loading, hauling, dumping, pushing, and/or spreading material in designated work areas. Receive and execute written or oral instructions regarding material movement or excavation. Ensure operation of equipment is within machine capabilities and limitations. Performs pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns. Complete production reporting and other documentation as required. Responsible for routine vehicle inspections, fluid/air checks, fueling of off-road equipment. Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored. Ability to assist maintenance personnel in performing mechanical maintenance and repairs as needed. Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members. Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all assigned work areas. Maintain knowledge of safe work practices and procedures. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
