Immediate Opening We are a salon franchise looking to hire a property maintenance technician/ handyman. With locations in both Newport News and Chesapeake, we're looking for a multi-skilled technician to join our growing company long- term. Technicians have interactions with our stylists, therefore professionalism and customer service skills are a must. The ideal candidates will be capable of most of the following: Experience: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, drywall, painting, window, door, etc. • Self-starting dependable individuals who are able to manage themselves • Performing basic plumbing, and minor electrical repairs • Basic drywall and painting abilities • Basic carpentry skills • Able to learn new skills and retain that knowledge • Problem solving skills • Able to use and furnish their own tools • Ability to use power-tools • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50+/- pounds • Must have a driver’s license and your own transportation • Must pass a fair background check • Must be able to use technology- Smart Phone – GPS – Google Calendar – Google mail & Others Job Type: Full-time Flexible Schedule with occasional nights & weekends.
