WANTED: A full time General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at AMERICAN SYSTEMS! A week in the life of a General Maintenance Mechanic: - General maintenance and repair of equipment and building structures requiring practical skills and knowledge in such trades as Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Painting and Spackling. - Repairing or replacing Faucets, Toilets, Urinals and Water Coolers, - Repairing cracks/chips in concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks. - Replacing damaged VCT and carpet tiles. - Hanging doors and troubleshooting crash bars and door locks. - Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery, including but not limited to filter changes, greasing and strainer cleaning. - Each employee on the 1st day of the month is given multiple preventive maintenance work order tasks to be completed on a weekly and or monthly schedule. Job Requirements - High School Diploma - Must be able to climb a ladder - Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. - Must have 4 years general maintenance experience covering the trades listed above and experience in such skills as painting, changing lamps, changing ceiling tiles, addressing sink/toilet and urinal clogs, perform building tours, respond to service calls and ensuring the proper documentation of daily shifts tasks, service phone calls and work orders performed during your shift. This is a Tuesday through Saturday shift, 8 hours a day, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with the chance to pick up other shifts due to Illness or PTO of other team members. This position also has a rotating holiday shift schedule requirement where the entire team rotates to cover 10 Holidays per year.
