Historic Oregon City opens it's garden gates to moms, aunts, grandmothers and other visitors this Mother's Day weekend. Walk along the bluff and visit locations with passionate gardeners.
The Oregon City Garden Tour this year highlights the bluff and garden that overlooks the downtown area that was named America's Best Main Street. Seven other close-in locations that were designed and cultivated by loving gardeners and master gardeners await your ohhs and ahhs.
Tour starts on the bluff with a talk from local community leader and developer of the viewpoint's landscape plan and heritage expert and master gardener Lorie Griffith, with acappella music by the New Minstrals. Continue on to artistic gardens, heritage gardens, traditional gardens and gardens that defy gravity. Speak one-on-one with the passionate people behind them, pick your favorite and get ideas for creating or re-creating your own space. All gardens will have a take-away guide to what you have seen there.
TICKETS ARE LIMITED. Only 10 spots per tour and start times are staggered to allow some distance and one-on-one time with homeowners and their creations.
A portion of the proceeds go to the River of Life Tours non-profit organization.
Check in table space at Elevate Plaza (in front of Oregon City Municipal Elevator on the top floor) provided by Elevate Wealth Management. Pick up your map and special gift bag with Mother's Day Weekend offers and special treats from local bakeries and walk to first location (wheelchair accessible). Park on the street. Drive to next garden.
Tickets required for tour. Any available time slots left will be sold on a first come basis.
