MPG Ranch is seeking a field technician to assist with irrigation, weed control, tree care, and other restoration efforts. The season will run approximately late April to early October. The workweek will consist of four ten-hour workdays. Occasional weekend days will be required. Responsibilities: Installing and maintaining drip irrigation systems Towing a trailer with water tank to hand water plantings Operating and maintaining center pivots, wheel lines, hand lines, and k-lines Backpack spraying and manually removing noxious weeds Caring for fruit tree and restoration tree plantings Assisting with other restoration and maintenance projects Required Qualifications: Possess a valid drivers license Able to lift 75 lbs Comfortable working with herbicide Knowledge or ability to learn the region’s native plants and invasive weeds Manual labor experience Able to work both independently and with a crew Pay rate: $15 per hour Application Instructions: Send a cover letter, resume, and three references to [email protected].
