L.W. Meyer, Inc. is looking for an Industrial Division Packager/Saw Operator to join their growing team in Waukesha, WI. L.W. Meyer, Inc. is a full-service contractor supply with four locations across Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. We supply hundreds of customers in general construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security with power tools, hardware, safety supplies, and much more. As our Industrial Division Packager/Saw Operator, you will play a vital role in our day-to-day business operations. This position will operate our industrial bandsaw and grinder in addition to working in our kit packaging division. The ideal candidate is an energetic, customer service-minded individual that enjoys working in a team atmosphere and can thrive on new challenges each day. Job Duties -Kit Packaging o Review bill of material(s) and stage necessary components o Package kits and properly label o Fill out paperwork as needed upon completion of kits -Pulling orders o Monitor order due dates and prioritize work accordingly o Pull, pack, and label orders according to customer-specific procedures o Fill out paperwork as needed upon completion of orders o Stage finished orders for delivering/shipping (palletizing, shrink wrapping, weighing) -Saw Operator o Sets up and operates industrial bandsaw and grinder according to material specifications & customer pick tickets (Product ranges from ¼” x 10’ threaded rod to 3-1/4” x 20’ steel strut) o Inspect material for quality standards, i.e. pre-cutting inspection to ensure product is viable for cutting, post-cutting to ensure product is correct length and undamaged o Operates material handling equipment assist in the movement of materials to and from Saw Department. o Performs daily preventative maintenance inspections as required o Fill out paperwork as needed upon completion of cutting orders • Accurately use computer system (Facts) to check inventory, create/print labels • Advise Supervisor of any product needs and/or shortages • Follow safety regulations and company work rules for a safe working environment • Maintain a clean working area both during and after the scheduled shift. • Heavy lifting of up to 70lbs for bolts, tubes of threaded rod, strut, etc. • Other duties as requested by supervisor Benefits: • Competitive base salary • 401K Plan • Short term/long term disability insurance • Paid holidays • No weekend shifts • Paid vacation after 1 year of service
