With more than 18 years of experience performing aesthetic services, Dr. Stevens specializes in dermal fillers, neurotoxins; skin resurfacing, skin tightening and laser body contouring. Additional services performed under his care include laser gynecological treatments, male and female hormone balancing and replacement, erectile dysfunction and weight management as well as general primary, urgent and preventive care.John Stevens was the oldest of eight children born and raised in rural western Kansas. The initial years of his medical career were spent in the critical care and surgical units of academic hospitals where he gained extensive experience in cardiovascular intensive care and trauma. He was called from the Army Reserves in 1990 and served as a trauma nurse in Operation Desert Storm. The years following active duty were invested in business design, development, growth, and management.John has held nearly every position in nursing from staff nurse to Director of Nursing in a variety of specialty settings from critical care to hospice. In the early 90’s, John started and managed Caritas Home Health Care and worked closely with Medicare to provide in-home services to seniors and those with end-stage cardiac disease, cancer, and HIV. In 1997, John founded deNovo, Inc. and later deNovo Medical Group and has utilized his extensive management experience to make the practice one of the most recognized anti-aging facilities in the state. He is a highly respected medical practitioner and provides training to medical professionals on behalf of many of the largest companies in lasers, injectable fillers, and anti-aging therapies.John believes strongly in nursing and making full use of nurses to improve healthcare in the United States. He has established professional relationships with local universities to provide research, preceptor and training sites for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
