Primary focus will be on our automotive fleet while also assisting in heavy duty truck repairs, as needed. In this role, the successful candidate will perform repairs and maintenance in accordance with industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Essential Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To: •Conducting maintenance, repairs and preventive inspections as assigned by leadership •Work with transportation team on fleet issues, communicate directly with drivers •Test and trouble shoot problem vehicles and equipment •Accurately identify mechanical problems and resolve problems or call in next level consult •Provide timely feedback to team members, and supervisor regarding on-going issues or estimated completion times •Documenting work in M+ •Maintaining cleanliness in the work area •Ensuring work is in accordance with DOT standards Core Knowledge/Skills: •Customer/Client Focus •Problem Solving Analysis •Time Management •Communication Proficiency •Teamwork Orientation •Technical Capacity •Maintain a high level of integrity while performing day to day maintenance •Have prior knowledge of engine, transmission, brake and suspension repairs •Good oral and written communication skills Requirements: •1 year Truck shop or auto mechanic experience •Ability to read and write English •Candidate must provided their owns tools •Self-Motivated individual who is capable of working independently •Must possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team •Ability to lift/maneuver heavy equipment Supplemental Information This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with the information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
