Purpose The Water Heater Installer is responsible for installation of Water Heaters and related equipment into residential customers homes. If applicant is not currently an experienced installer, then Brennan Heating will train as an apprentice until fully capable. Essential Job Functions E    Review jobs with foreman, load job, and be on the road in 30 minutes or less from the start of the workday. E    Arrive at worksite looking professional and ready to meet the homeowner and conduct walk through to review job expectations prior to starting work. E    Run an efficient and SAFE job site daily; keeping yourself and your assistants protected from falls, electrical, mechanical, chemical, and other jobsite hazards while you perform the installation. E    Familiar with or willing to learn how to  install gas, electric, and tankless water heaters and related products. E    Stay in sync with homeowner throughout installation, keeping them informed of major decisions such as routing, positioning, noise levels, access needs, etc. E    Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to your assistants during the day. If not currently experienced, then be able to take direction from lead installer until you are able to install on own. E    Follow fire off procedures and document start up data after completions of the installation. E    Education homeowner on new system once installed and conduct final paperwork required to complete the project. E    Perform all required administrative paperwork with accurate information and follow internal company processes. E    Daily communication up and across the chain of command with assistants, foreman, coordinator, division manager, and others on problems, opportunities, ideas, and all other needed information. N   Other duties as assigned. Work Hours This is a non-exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business. Overtime may be required to meet business needs. Competencies This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations. This position requires excellent communications skills both verbally and written. Must be hard working, self-started with a positive attitude and respectful. Work Environment Frequently works in outside weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet, snow, hot and humid conditions. Subject to dark confined workspaces such as crawl spaces and attics. Physical Demands Moderate to heavy working conditions. Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel. Must be able to lift 150+ pounds at a time. Supervisory Responsibility None. All questionable matters are referred to Supervisor. Travel Willing to travel with the following counties King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson and Island (travel may occur within other counties). Valid driver’s license is required. 1 to 2 years previous water heater install experience. If not currently an experienced water heater installer, then willing to be an install helper until fully capable to install on own.
