Our shop specializes in refurbishing and upgrading VW camper vans both the Vanagon Westy and the Eurovan Camper. We are looking for a reliable and skilled apprentice/ mechanic's assistant for our shop. Here are the requirements: 1) You must love or be interested in VW camper vans 2) You must be drug and drama free 3) You must possess basic mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to improve your skill set 4) You must be reliable and a good team player Your duties will include: -Shop maintenance and cleaning -Assisting technicians -Running errands -Detailing vans -Ordering parts -Some customer service As your skills grow, you will also learn to: -Replace poptop tents -Install solar systems -Replace camper fridges with new ones -Replace flooring -Replace lighting -Replace carpet kits -Install awnings -Removing interior cabinets and galleys If you have woodworking skills that is a plus. We have all the tools but you will be expected to buy your own basic tools after you get started. We are looking for someone who wants to grow and advance in the company. We pay competitive salary, plus benefits. Open to Full Time or Part Time NOTE: If you possess more advanced skills and would be overqualified for this position, please still apply as we would also hire you with a more advanced compensation program and a higher position. If you have your own work space and tools, contract work is also a possibility.
