This is GALAXY - she’s a great 4 year-old Schnoodle (standard poodle/schnauzer mix) available for adoption this week. She’s 32 pounds. A GREAT DOG! Because she’s a Schnoodle, she is hypoallergenic and will not shed. Galaxy is well-behaved, intelligent, clean, gentle, affectionate, usually calm, and generally quiet. She’s both a great indoors and a great outdoors dog. She’s altered, very shy until she gets to know a person, 100% house trained, healthy, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on all of her shots. As you can see from the pictures, she is shades of gray and white. She’s very loyal and patient. Galaxy will be available to be adopted via the Sacramento SPCA this week. I have been fostering her for the last two weeks to help calm and socialize her. She had not done well in the SPCA kennels after she was surrendered a few weeks before. She is shy and aloof around people she does not know. Galaxy is mostly all right around other dogs – not sure she would be great around cats. We have gone to the dog park several times. She is learning to play with the other dogs but she’d rather just play fetch with me. She is generally quite good on a leash but will sometimes bark aggressively at passersby. When people are within reach, or when she is not on a leash, she is not aggressive. She still needs some work to get better socialized. Galaxy is a very active player with her balls and chew toys, but has not ever caused any damage to anything else in the house. I think she’d be good with children perhaps aged 10 or older. She has been a great pleasure for me to foster and it will be sad for me to let her go. This is why it is important to me that I find a great new home for her. Working with me, I can arrange for you to adopt Galaxy via the Sacramento SPCA (Florin-Perkins Road). I do not charge a fee, but the SPCA does.
