SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Individuals who received the first dose of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine March 6 or 7 through the Department of Health in Sarasota County will receive a second dose-appointment notice after Easter Sunday, the county said in a news release. The second shot of the Moderna vaccine should be scheduled 28 days after the first. For those who received the vaccine March 6 or 7, that would fall on or near Easter Sunday, which is April 4, the county said. The DOH doesn't plan to host a second-dose clinic on the holiday, though. Appointments for the booster shot will be scheduled after Easter, the county said. The county hosted first-dose and second-dose clinics at Sarasota Square Mall Monday. Like what you're reading?
